UT Level Jawharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition.

With Professor Dr. C. V . Shimray Mam, Professor Science and Mathematics Department NCERT New Delhi and faculty members of SCERT J&K Divisional Office Kashmir on UT level Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition for Children with Science Seminar and model exhibition at teacher Auditorium SCERT J&K-Kashmir. Many many congratulations to the Head department of Science and Mathematics SCERT KD FAYAZ AHMAD BHAT Sir and the whole team for the successful completion of the program.Academic Unit -IInd head Masaraat Jan Assistant Professor SCERT-KD laid emphasis on developing scientific temper among the students, and such Kinds of programs will prove more beneficial towards that. Very glad to be a part of this prestigious program. Dr. C. V. Shimray in her address highlighted the importance of technologies and innovations. She said, how we can apply those technologies and innovations and how can we improve those technologies or ideas in the present context. You might say, those who have not worked, it is true and many of those ideas may not work, because of the changing environment itself. But how can we innovate those ideas, those technologies, traditional knowledge, and indigenous knowledge in the present context. So those are the themes students need to start thinking about. So when we start thinking about it. We have to ask questions, why is this happening to us. If there is a problem with air pollution, why is it, what can we do, what should we do, and what is your role as a Citizen of a community, Country, or State. So you have to start asking questions. The prime duty of Teachers is to encourage students, as a teacher you may not have the answers to all the questions to be asked, but we may definitely work together for solutions and give answers to those questions. Once you have that attitude of thinking, then definitely you will become an engineer and you will become a very good engineer. If you will become a scientist you will become a good scientist. So we want to develop that kind of thinking in students through this kind of science exhibition that we are holding. Dr. C. V. Shimary speaking on the occasion said that I am very glad that UT J&K division Kashmir has organized this exhibition. I am sure that organizers have gone through various challenges, but I find it all was itself very impressive to me because we don't have one even in NCERT New Delhi as we have one such  Auditorium that we have at SCERT Kashmir. I think we can organize bigger events in the future, which can be benefited many more people in the future. I also see that many developments are working in collaboration with other departments of SCERT Kashmir and things are moving very fast. I hope that things will improve also in the teaching-learning process in the development of technology and in the development of innovations in coming up with different ideas. I hope it is teachers, Schools, and administrators who truly deserve congratulations for making this program a grand success.
